cesubcentreartscollegekozhikode: Government Arts & Science College, Kozhikode, is one of the well-known colleges in Kerala established in 1964. It is the only first grade college in Kozhikode district in the public sector. The college is affiliated to the University of Calicut and has been rendering commendable service by providing quality education to the weaker sections of the society within and neighbouring districts. College provides equal opportunity in admission to all sections of the students. The College now offers 12 undergraduate courses, 7 post graduate courses and research center for Hindi. At present there are 99 faculty members and 44 Administrative/Technical staff. Around 1500 students are studying in this college. The college maintains an atmosphere conducive to the development of curricular as well as co-curricular activates. NCC wings for boys and girls, two NSS units, Nature Club, Career Guidance and Placement Centre, Grievance Redressal Forum, Parent-Teacher Association, Alumni Association, Kazcha Film Club, Cricket Club etc. add colour to the campus.
